Text description provided by the architects. In a competition, FHE – Fundação Habitacional do Exército, chose our proposal for the design and construction of its headquarters, with about 30 thousand square meters of built area.
In a manner consistent with the objectives of the institution, its headquarters clearly manifests the principles of reliability, ease of access and transparency.
The implementation in few pure volumes establishes a relationship of complementarity with the surrounding landscape, and the Oratorio del Soldado, a project by Milton Ramos, expanding the area of influence of the project.
The office building consists of two uneven blocks, separated by a central atrium. Diffuse lighting and natural ventilation give quality and energy economy to the workspaces.
The landscaping complements the project in a mimetic relationship with the surrounding landscape and on the basis of the Plaza Duque de Caxias, by Burle Marx.
The construction technology combines the tradition and simplicity of the reinforced concrete structure with the speed of assembly and quality finish of the industrialized cladding components for the roof, sealing, ceiling and floor.
